Volunteers for Creative Exchange
Creativity is more than "art-making".  We are all creative beings and our creativity takes many forms. You do not need to be an artist to volunteer.  We do ask you to be willing to participate in some new experiences (learning new words, helping our clients on a project, modeling active participation, etc) - helping us all understand and be empathetic to what it is like to be the "learner".

About Creative Exchange:
Creative Exchange fosters connections, celebrates cultures, and promotes socio-emotional well-being within our vibrant Pikes Peak community.
Creative Exchange harnesses the power of creativity and human connection to enhance the integration and wellbeing of ORR-eligible newcomers in our community. Our diverse range of classes is designed to provide participants of all ages with an immersive and enriching experience. Through hands-on activities and engaging conversations, individuals are invited to explore their creativity, connect with peers, and nurture their socio-emotional growth.  Creative Exchange is more than just a program—it's a vibrant space where individuals from diverse backgrounds come together to explore the boundless possibilities of creativity.

Thank you for your desire to help with our program.  We will need a copy of your driver's license and your permission to do a Background Check.  Please complete the questions below and submit, if you are interested in learning more about this program, and are willing to volunteer.

How did you learn about us?  What draws you to this program?

You are part of helping us grow this program.  Each of us has different skills, knowledge, interests, lived experience.  What are some of your skills and interests?  Would you feel confident leading small groups in any of these areas?
Do you have prior experience working with people from diverse cultural and language backgrounds? Our program is fluid.  Our refugee clients are learning and we are learning. Are you willing to learn and be flexible as we respond to their needs and "meet them where they are" in their process of acclimating to our region?
Transportation:  are you willing to help transport clients? (not required)  If so, do you have current registration and insurance?
We have various methods to help train you for this program, for working with refugees, for working with specific cultures.  Which training methods work for you?
Questions:  What questions do you have? How can we best support your involvement with Creative Exchange?
