Camp G.L.O.W. 2018: Junior Counselor Application
Camp G.L.O.W. (Girls Leading Our World) is a week-long girl's empowerment camp focusing on leadership for Ukrainian girls, ages 13-17. The camp will facilitate discussions on topics such as gender equality, diversity, women's health, and healthy relationships, while promoting self-empowerment activities and life skills training. Additionally, campers will be able to develop cross-country friendships and collaborate on small project opportunities both during and after Camp G.L.O.W.

The opportunity to be a camper at G.L.O.W. 2018 will be given first to those who have not yet attended, as lessons and themes will be similar to past G.L.O.W.s. However, we have junior counselor positions available for those who have already attended a Camp G.L.O.W and would like to take part again this year. Junior counselors will be responsible for setting an example for first-time campers, and helping to plan and conduct lessons and activities together with counselors and other junior counselors. Junior counselors should be 15-18 years old.

G.L.O.W. Logistics
In 2018 there will be three separate camps lasting for eight to nine days, including travel to allow for seven full camp days. Two of the camps will be combined with Camp T.O.B.E. (Teaching Our Boys to Excel), and one will be a girls-only G.L.O.W. Please note the difference and your preference for a girls-only G.L.O.W. or G.L.O.W./T.O.B.E. (aka GLOWBE) co-ed camp.

The first camp (GLOWBE) will be held for seven days, from July 19th - 27th in Poltavs'ka Oblast, with a training weekend in Poltava July 2nd - 4th. The second camp (GLOW) will be held for seven days, from August 3rd - 10th in Yaremche, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, with a training weekend tentatively set for June 29th - July 1st (location TBD). The third camp (GLOWBE) will be held for seven days from August 4th - 11th in Radyvyliv, Rivne Oblast, with a training weekend in Lviv July 13th - 14th.
