On July 1st, the Bevin Administration eliminated dental, vision, and non-emergency medical transportation benefits for Medicaid expansion members without notice. This was a voluntary decision made by the Bevin Administration following a court ruling on June 29th that blocked implementation of Kentucky HEALTH (Governor Bevin's Medicaid changes).
Since then, the Bevin Administration has posted public notice of a State Plan Amendment submitted to the Federal Government, asking for permission to remove these benefits. You can view the notice here:

We are collecting comments! Please tell us what you think about the Governor's decision to eliminate benefits. We want to understand how his decision will impact Kentuckians who have relied on these benefits for accessing needed healthcare services. Your comments will be shared with policymakers as we advocate to restore these benefits.
The public comment period for this request runs from June 30th - July 29th. They are only accepting mailed comments. To make it easier for Kentuckians to comment, we created this survey. We will print comments we receive and mail them to the Medicaid Commissioner's office at the end of the comment period.
