Nutrition Month 2022 / Mois de la nutrition 2022
During Nutrition Month 2022, dietitians will explore the key “ingredients” needed to change our food systems for a healthier tomorrow. These ingredients will take the form of actions that can improve an individual’s health in addition to systemic changes that can be made, not just for today, but for the future.

Can you think of an example of a time when you integrated Sustainable Food Systems and Diets (SFS/D) into your practice?
This could include critical reflection, getting involved in SFS/D work, disseminating high quality information or combatting misinformation, using an SFS/D lens when providing advice on food choices or creating care plans, advocating for SFS/D or timely implementation of existing policies to help shape healthy food environments, worked with clients/communities engaged in self-determined SFS/D work, conducted or participated in research etc.*
Have you... Spent time reflecting/learning about sustainable food systems, contributed to sustainable standards policy at your workplace, made a change at your workplace that contributed to reduced food waste, met with a politician to discuss an issue, dispelled misinformation about nutrition or about sustainable food systems, advocated for the inclusion of sustainable food systems in public school curriculum etc.*?
*More examples can be found in "The Role of Dietitians in Sustainable Food Systems and Sustainable Diets
If yes, tell us a bit about it and whether we can follow up with you to hear more!
