Culture 21 Actions Questionnaire

    INTRODUCTION

    The Agenda 21 for culture, adopted in 2004, promotes the design of cultural policies concerned with sustainable development. In 2015, the Summit on Culture and Sustainable Cities held in Bilbao adopted a new document, Culture 21 Actions, which proposes 100 specific actions, organized under 9 commitments, in order to assess the place of culture in sustainable development: 1. Cultural Rights 2. Heritage, Diversity and Creativity 3. Culture and Education 4. Culture and Environment 5. Culture and Economy 6. Culture, Equality and Social Inclusion 7. Culture, Urban Planning and Public Space 8. Culture, Information and Knowledge 9. Governance of Culture Culture 21 Actions can be used as a self-evaluation tool for free. It is open both to local governments and to individuals and organisations (academics, activists, civil society, etc.) interested in using it. At the end of this exercise, you will be able to obtain a document summarising your responses. This document will also be sent to the Secretariat of the Agenda 21 for culture. The questionnaire includes 10 pages. The estimated time to respond is approximately 10 minutes.
