Futurus High School Application 2025-2026 School Year (in-person & virtual)
We are now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. Current families will be given priority for the 25/26 school year.  We ask that returning students/families complete all sections of the application so we know we have current information for the 25/26 school year. 

We have capacity for a total of 120 students (virtual and in-person). Space for virtual students may be limited. We find in-person students are better supported to make progress, especially when they attend regularly. 

Welcome to the Futurus High School application.
  • Futurus is a 9th-12th grade alternative high school in the Centralia School District that offers both in-person and online options for high school students.
  • It is strongly recommended that students enrolled in our program have at least an 8th grade reading level since our online course platform requires a lot of reading. We may ask for SBA scores or review SBA scores from middle school to determine if a student's reading level is sufficient to ensure success.
  • If you live outside of the district boundary you will need to start the Choice process in the school district that you currently live in. If you are not sure if you are choice student, please reach out to our office at 360-827-6420. Futurus has limited space for choice students. 
  • Students in our program, regardless of if they are in-person or virtual, must take our annual standardized testing in person in May each year, which may be difficult if a student lives too far away from the district. 
This application must be completed in its entirety to be considered. Completing this application is NOT a guarantee of enrollment. 

NOTES for NEW students: If you are a current Centralia student, a CHS counselor MUST know that you wish to apply to Futurus High School. Please make contact with your student's assigned counselor.

Completing this application is not a guarantee of enrollment. An in-person meeting with FHS administration, the family and the student is required before enrollment for new students can be finalized. Meetings with current CHS students cannot take place until students have met with their CHS counselors first.

Please choose one of the following if you are choosing our in-person option. In-person students can either come for 3 hours every morning or 3 hours every afternoon. Please let us know your preference for attending FHS in-person. Students can also choose to stay on campus the full day to get more work done, but should still choose either mornings of afternoons so we know how many students will be on campus during each session. 

Please note that students who choose to do New Market often choose to take the school bus to New Market for their morning session and come to FHS in the afternoons because it's easiest for transportation purposes.
