Questions/Comments About Comp Plan
After a five year process, the D.C. Office of Planning is proposing, through amendments to the City's Comprehensive Plan, to allow greater density around Red Line Metro Stops in Ward 3, including on the Connecticut Avenue commercial area in Cleveland Park. The proposal changes the future land use designation from Low Density Commercial to a mix of Moderate Density Commercial and High Density Residential. The D.C. Council is holding hearings on the Comp Plan November 12-13, and will vote on the plan this winter.
Cleveland Park Smart Growth is hosting a virtual meeting for the community with representatives from the Office of Planning (OP), Historic Preservation Office (HPO) and Councilmember Mary Cheh in advance of the hearings and wants to know what questions or comments you have about this proposal and what it means for our neighborhood. Feel free to ask as many questions as you have. The event will be held Monday, November 9th at 7:30. Go to
