2019 Reel Queer Youth Mentor Application
APPLICATION DUE: June 15, 2019

Reel Queer Youth is a video production and media literacy training for LGBTQ youth and allies ages 13-20. Use professional camera and editing equipment to express yourself in a safe, open, and fun environment with a team of professional filmmakers and mentors. Working in small groups, you will complete a short documentary film.

Mentors will receive a stipend for their involvement.

EXPERIENCE
Each year, Reel Queer Youth selects a team of enthusiastic, skilled, and youth-focused people to serve as Program Mentors/Instructors. Youth will make a short film during the program, and mentors will be a guide throughout this process. Mentors will develop and teach workshops specific to their areas of experience. We are looking for people who are trained in various aspects of video production, and ideally have experience working with youth.
