Hernandez Middle School & United Way of Williamson County What Will IB? Day 2.12.19
United Way of Williamson County and Hernandez Middle school in Round Rock ISD are excited to offer our third annual What Will IB? Day on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. This event provides the opportunity to take more than 750 6th – 8th graders to local employers allowing them to have a first-hand views of the careers and educational opportunities available to them locally.

For the students at Hernandez Middle School, this is a unique opportunity to inspire students and encourage each of them to imagine themselves in meaningful, financially rewarding career options. You can encourage the academic success of a group of young people by welcoming them into your place of business. You can engage and inspire them by providing an experience that can be life-changing.

To date, more than 50 local employers have participated in this program in previous years and more than 1,200 students have visited at least one workplace or college/university.

Of note: Students will be transported to and from your location via bus. Your point of contact will discuss the arrival and departure time that fits best with your company's schedule. You will have the option to provide lunch for students or the district will make arrangements for the students to bring a sack lunch with them. HeMS teachers will serve as chaperones for each group.
