The concept? Students between ages 11-18 will study a niche STEM topic, eventually creating a video that either explores a specific scientific concept, presented as a video format. Older students will go beyond and create a STEM prototype (model, program, or an experiment) and present it in their videos.
Importantly, these videos will all have The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as key themes. Participants must identify a sustainable development goal, using that goal as the central theme of their STEM investigation.
The Koh-Ed STEM Video Contest is open to ALL students worldwide, ages ranging from 11 to 18. We will be working with schools around the globe to realize this project.
We are honored to have two Harvard professors, a Princeton associate professor, the CEO of Wyss Center (Nonprofit neurotechnology research foundation in Geneva), and an Education Program Manager at Innovative Genomics Institute.
Video submission: December 16th, 2020 - February 7th, 2021
The zoom links for the virtual opening and closing ceremony will be sent out to you once you have signed up.
