Deadline to sign on: Friday, September 5 at noon Pacific.
Please consider signing on to this sign-on letter led by the No Muslim Ban Ever Campaign, urging the administration to rescind the racist travel ban immediately.
On June 4, 2025, President Trump issued yet another ban impacting 19 countries, which are almost entirely Muslim-majority, African, Asian, and Caribbean nations. The ban imposes a total bar on nationals from 12 countries–Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. Trump also imposed severe restrictions on nationals from an additional seven countries: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela.
As elected leaders of cities, counties, and local and state governments, we urge you to express your strong support for welcoming immigrants and visitors to your towns, cities and states by signing onto this letter. The asks for the administration are as follows:
Rescind the June 4, 2025 Proclamation imposing the ban, and any expansion thereof.
Uphold and respect citizens’ and non-citizens’ rights to due process, free speech, and all rights enshrined in the Constitution and other applicable laws of the United States.
Uphold U.S. obligations to refugees and restore the refugee resettlement program; restore previously terminated TPS designations and humanitarian parole protections and continue to provide new designations and redesignations for individuals from countries where return travel is difficult or impossible, in alignment with protections supported by federal immigration law.
Revoke visa restrictions imposed on Cameroon, Ethiopia, Gaza, Ghana, Nigeria and South Sudan
Deadline to sign on: Friday, September 5 at noon Pacific.
