Interns must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to work independently on all tasks assigned.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:• Legislative Research • Bill Tracking• Producing Policy Briefs• Note taking and observing committee meetings• Drafting letters, correspondences, and content for the Delegate’s newsletter• Data Entry• Scheduling• Exciting mass mailings (2,000+ pieces)
Desired Skills:• Strong work ethic & eagerness to learn• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment• Ability to work effectively in a small team, and as a self-starter• A general understanding of the General Assembly and the lawmaking process• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Docs, & social media
