EU Our Ocean, An Ocean For Life Leadership Summit Application
About the Event
The European Union will host the fourth high-level Our Ocean Conference in Malta on October 5th to 6th 2017. Our Ocean 2017 will continue to focus on four main themes: marine protected areas, sustainable fisheries, marine pollution, climate-related impacts on the ocean, and add two new dimensions, maritime security and blue economy. The event will draw powerful speakers from around the world, including foreign ministers, heads of government, NGOs, scientists, philanthropists and the business world.

As an integral part of the Our Ocean Conference, the European Union and the Sustainable Oceans Alliance will co-host the second Our Ocean, An Ocean For Life Leadership Summit, which will take place on October 5-6, 2017. This summit will also draw high-level ocean leaders, who will interact with student participants, facilitate breakout sessions, and participate in a town hall meeting. Additionally, student leaders will have the opportunity to join the main conference on the 2nd day of the event.

Approximately 100 youth leaders from countries worldwide will be selected to participate in the second Our Ocean, An Ocean For Life Leadership Summit. To apply to be a youth ocean leader and take part in this extraordinary event, please complete the following application by Friday, September 15th at 11:59PM PDT.
