2018 Mosaic Awards Nomination Form
Each year, the Alliance of Queer and Ally Students, in partnership with the LBGT Resource Center, presents the Mosaic Awards to recognize persons, programs, and organizations in the queer and trans community at MSU. This year, the Alliance is soliciting nominations for the following categories:

Individual Awards:

   Outstanding Executive Board Member
   Outstanding Emerging Leader

Program Awards:

   Outstanding Social Program
   Outstanding Educational Program
   Outstanding Collaborative Program
   Outstanding Campus Initiative

Organization Awards:

   Excellence in Team Building
   Excellence in Community Building



The Lavender Reception & Mosaic Awards Gala 2017 is a partnership of the LBGT Resource Center and the Alliance of Queer & Ally Students.


Any MSU student, constituent group (RSO/RHA/ASMSU/non-registered), or organization advisor may submit an Individual Award nomination or an Organization/Program Award nomination.

Each student or constituency may submit a maximum of two nominations per category.(So two nominations for Individual awards, two for Organization awards etc.)

Graduate student advisors, faculty advisors, and staff advisors may submit a maximum of one nomination per category.

All nominations must be received by 11:59 PM on April 3rd, 2018.

Award Selection Process
Following the nomination deadline all nominations will be sent to a selection committee comprised of Alliance executive board members, LBGT Resource Center Staff, and other MSU Professors.

Nominations will be evaluated according to the specific award criteria established and addressed in the nomination essay. Selections will be made based on the strength of alignment with the criteria as evidenced in the nomination essay and supporting materials.

In each category, the selection committee reserves the right to choose the person(s) or organization(s) to receive each award. The committee also reserves the right to determine that the standards set in the awards criteria have or have not been met.

We believe that the contributions of all student organizations and student leaders are valuable and have an impact on the campus community.  Both registered and non-registered student organizations are eligible to nominate and receive awards.
