2020 Spring High School Team
Welcome to the registration for the 2020 Spring Season High School Sailing Team!
420's, FJ's, and Lasers will both be utilized by this program on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The boat you sail will be determined by the team coaches. The boat you will sail at practice will be based on interest, attitude, dedication, attendance, and upcoming regattas.
The spring season will be capped at 45 sailors. Please register and submit payment early to guarantee your spot. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
Practices will take place from 4:00pm - 7:00pm.

MANDATORY SEASON ORIENTATION. ALL SAILORS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND
Thursday February 20th, 4:00 to 6:15 pm
Parent Happy Hour
Thursday, February 20th, 6:30pm - 7:30pm at the WSC Clubhouse.
The parent happy hour is mandatory for parents of all sailors. Sailors do not need to attend.
First Official On-The-Water Practice

We use Teamsnap as our primary communication tool. All sailors are expected to check it for team updates and use it to mark practice and regatta availability.
Open to 7th - 12th graders (depending on size and weight)
Novice and experienced sailors are welcome to join the team.
Membership at Willamette Sailing Club is REQUIRED to participate in spring & fall programs. See Membership information below.
Swimming Ability & Capsize Recovery
All sailors will complete a swim test and capsize recovery at the beginning of every season. This is required before sailors get in a boat on the first day of regular practice. A wetsuit or drysuit may be worn for the test.
Required Documents (Code of Conduct, medical release are not required if the sailor participated in high school sailing fall 2019)
Please print and fill out the required forms. If we do not receive your payment and forms by the end of the first week of practice, you will not be able to sail until we receive all of the form listed below, including membership.

Financial aid is available for the program fee to sailors who qualify. Aid is available through The Sailing Foundation, Oregon Youth Sailing Foundation, and Rose City Youth Sailing Society. For more information please see the websites below.

Youth Program Membership
All sailors who enroll in spring or fall programs are required to be a Youth Member or part of a Regular Membership at Willamette Sailing Club. Please return the Membership application form to the WSC Office no later than the end of the first week of practice. The youth membership is $350/year and sailors must do 10 work hours. Youth Membership Application:
By completing this form you will be signed up for the High School Sailing Team. All program fees will be charged to your club account and must be paid within 30 days. A 5% finance charge per month will be charged to past due accounts.
