The Block Party 2026
Community Activation Network (CAN) is a Springfield-based nonprofit created to organize free, in-person community events that activate public spaces, support small organizations, and foster civic engagement and local collaboration while building community.

Over the past four years, Springfield’s The Block Party has become Lane County’s premier free community gathering—growing from 3,000 attendees in 2022, to nearly 15,000 in 2025, with over 53,000 website views and social media reach exceeding 300,000 impressions. More than 140 businesses, nonprofits, and civic partners now participate annually. The event showcases the revitalization and civic pride that come from strong public-private partnership—goals shared by both CAN and SEDA.
