Thank you for your interest in joining the #SDG16Now Campaign Advisory Committee.

Throughout 2024 & 2025 there will be a number of critical opportunities to evaluate and accelerate progress towards achieving SDG16+, which calls on all countries to promote peaceful societies, provide access to justice and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions.

Under the auspices of the #SDG16Now Campaign, the Transparency, Accountability and Participation (TAP) Network - an international coalition of civil society organisations working to help realise the human rights and development aspirations enshrined in SDG16+ - and its key partners, will provide curated spaces for a broad range of SDG16+ Champions to advocate for renewed commitments, increased resourcing and civil society space to advance SDG16+.

The Advisory Committee will serve as a group of colleagues who will localize and decentralize the campaign and forge partnerships with colleagues to inform activities and priorities/advocacy messages of the campaign globally.

I can contribute to the Advisory Committee in the following ways: *

Supporting thematic cluster groups for #SDG16Now Campaign

Outreach, Communications & Engagement: This team will develop engagement toolkits, materials for social media and digital communications, and any additional communications materials we decide to put out (like a press release or conference, articles, etc.)

Translation (English to other UN languages): In our organizing, we produce advocacy documents that sometimes needs to be translated quickly.

Events: Tasks include support for organizing side events and other mobilizing opportunities for members.

Bilateral advocacy: Strategizing and arranging bilateral meetings with member states and relevant intergovernmental institutions to establish SDG16NOW Champions, preparing and agreeing on agenda at the preparatory meetings

Collective advocacy: Supporting intervention and/or statement preparations, recommendations, key messages, language proposals for official documents.
