Help lead the pack by submitting your name for a 2026-2027 Redland Oaks PTA officer position! The Nominating Committee is charged with presenting our membership with their recommended slate of officers for election on March 24th, 2026 during the general PTA meeting.
If you are interested in being considered to serve in one of our officer positions, please complete and submit this form no later than March 6th, 2026.
The Nominating Committee will contact each interested person before submitting a slate of officers for a vote at the March 25th meeting.
OFFICER POSITIONS AND DUTIES
President - The president serves as the presiding officer of the PTA and presides over executive board and membership meetings. It is the president’s responsibility to be well prepared. The president distributes all materials to the appropriate officer or committee chair and is the link to the principal/administration. The president directs the affairs of the association in cooperation with the other members of the executive board.
1st Vice President (Programs) - The 1st vice president aides the president and is in charge of programs such as Family Game & Movie Nights and any other PTA Programs.
2nd Vice President (Fundraising) - The 2nd vice president is in charge of fundraising activities including spirit nights and organizing fundraisers throughout the year.
Secretary - The secretary attends all meetings and records the minutes of the meetings and of the executive board. The secretary is also in charge of correspondence.
Treasurer - The treasurer has custody of all funds of the association and keeps the books of accounts and records including bank statements, receipts, budgets, invoices, paid receipts and cancelled checks. The treasurer also prepares monthly financial reports and fills out and files all tax forms.
Parliamentarian (appointed) - The parliamentarian advises the presiding officer on questions of parliamentary procedure. The newly-elected President will appoint the Parliamentarian after the election. Please indicate if you are interested in this appointment.
