For Committee roles, please note the following:
*Each Committee meets once per calendar month. Meetings are held during U.S. business hours.

*Consistent attendance at Committee Meetings is required. Missing an occasional meeting due to work obligations, vacation, etc. is fine, but you should expect to attend the meeting each month as part of your volunteer work.

*Committee roles require a commitment of 6 - 10 hours per month, including the monthly meeting.

*For the User Group Committee, you must be an active organizer of a PostgreSQL User Group.

*For the Expo Committee, you must live in North America.

The Community Development Committee develops participation in the PostgreSQL community through outreach programs and the support of educational endeavors for PostgreSQL users in the United States.

The Expo Committee promotes the use and education of PostgreSQL by exhibiting at various non-PostgreSQL events, either directly or by working with other volunteers, in-person or virtually, where those events are suitably aligned with PgUS's mission (eg: non-profit, volunteer-run general events such as SCALE, or open-source focused events such as FOSS4G. NOTE: These events are only in the US.

The Website Team manages both the technical and design aspects of the PgUS website.

The User Group Committee promotes the education of the public about PostgreSQL by holding monthly, semi-monthly, or other regularly scheduled local meetings (aka "meetups") to bring together those interested in learning about PostgreSQL (either physcially or virtually), either directly or by working with local organizers of PostgreSQL User Groups (aka PUGs).
