IMC Opt Out Form 2024-2025 Grades 6-12
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Reading is immensely important to students at all grade levels. Here at EASD we strive to provide a wide variety of high quality books for all of our students. Students in grades 6-12 have access to all library materials in the HS/MS IMC. Our library collection include books for middle school students and young adults. Some may contain more mature subject matter. We understand that some parents/guardians may feel their student is not ready for certain books. We strongly encourage parents/guardians to determine the appropriate level for their student.

Option 1: If you feel that your student may check out any book they wish from within their school library then you DO NOT need to do anything more.

Option 2: If you feel your student should not be allowed to check out certain books please fill out the form below and your student will be flagged in our system which will restrict their access to certain books based on your selections. Please note this includes restrictions for your child in our Ebook Sora Collection, which is the collection of books students can access and read digitally. Additionally, this form will need to be filled out each school year for each student in the district.

In order to better understand our library selection process and our categories of books please review our EAHS/MS Library Mission and Selection Process- Updated 2024

To view Destiny, our EASD catalog of books, and search for specific categories and/or titles please use the Destiny Tip Sheet.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions to Mrs. Christa Raudenbush at christa_raudenbush@etownschools.org
