Online Interview Interest Form | Northfield 350th Anniversary Oral History Project
The Northfield 350th Anniversary Oral History Project team is seeking residents who would like to tell about their lives and their knowledge and experiences of Northfield.  From mid-August 2022 to the end of the year, audio-recorded interviews will be conducted by project members trained by folklorists and audio producers Michael and Carrie Kline.  

All points of view — whether from current or past, year-round or summer, lifelong or transplant residents — are welcome, since the fullest and truest sense of Northfield's people, places, and history can only be captured through a variety of lenses. Your unique memories and perspectives have the power to enlighten, touch, and inspire not only others but perhaps even yourself as you reminisce!

Once completed, each audio recording will be shared with the person interviewed.  Stories and themes that emerge from these recordings will be woven into events being planned for the 2023 anniversary year.  The recordings will also be archived and made available to others interested in exploring these invaluable firsthand recollections of Northfield.

To express interest in being interviewed, please fill out and submit the form below.  ***If you prefer to fill out a paper copy, you can print this PDF version and drop off your completed form at Dickinson Memorial Library or the Northfield Senior Center (where paper copies will also be available), or mail it to Joan Stoia, 94 Main St., Northfield, MA 01360.***  You'll then be contacted by an interviewer who will provide further information and, if you decide to participate, schedule an appointment for your interview.
