Docents are essential volunteers who welcome our youngest visitors into the museum by facilitating engaging learning experiences in the galleries. Through twice-monthly training sessions, docents become adept at guiding students in close looking, thoughtful conversation, and interactive activities related to works of art. While their primary responsibility is leading school tours, docents also occasionally assist with family activities on evenings and weekends. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the museum, work with children, and contribute to the community.
Time commitment: docents are required to attend twice-monthly Monday morning meetings, hour-long school tours as scheduled (occur most frequently on Tuesday-Friday mornings, September-May)
