Mentor Application - Due Nov 22, 2023
We're so glad you're interested in the Mentorship program! Who’s Eligible to be a Mentor? You must meet ALL three:
  1. Grow “specialty crops”  in Indiana (that’s veggies, fruit, mushrooms, honey, etc...full list here).

  2. Have completed at least SEVEN year farming on their own.

  3. Farm for a significant amount of their time or income (at least half time or half of their income).

If that's you: The Mentorship can help you:
  • Gain valuable hands on experience in mentoring/teaching that you can apply on your own farm
  • Share your professional expertise with the next generation of farmers
  • Give back to your farming community through meaningful connection with beginning farmers as well as other mentor farmers in the state of Indiana
  • $1,000 stipend to compensate for time spent in the program
  • Curious about serving as a Mentor? Click here to read more about how Mentors will help their mentees, what's expected, and what's not.
Deadline to apply: Weds, Nov 22, 2023 at midnight.

This program is hosted by Hoosier Young Farmers Coalition and Partners IN Food and Farming mentorship program, with grant support from the Indiana State Department of Agriculture's Specialty Crop Block Grant.
