Hello friends and animal advocates,
Holding an intention to support your well-being on the path of service you walk, we are offering a meditation retreat for animal advocates, with the intention to support your inner development for the benefit of all. Our wish is that such a practice supports you in reducing burnout, growing creativity, enhancing effectiveness, and increasing confidence.
This is the 7th year of offering this meditation retreat that has supported scores of advocates in our movement. Tashi will be teaching online from Texas, and all attendees will be virtual, via Zoom. The theme of this retreat is cultivating loving kindness.
This retreat will be facilitated by Tashi Nyima (
https://www.awakin.org/calls/436/tashi-nyima/), and is offered as a gift, a priceless offering. You are welcome to pay forward your gratitude at the end, to whatever your capacity/feeling, so that others may benefit.
We continue to offer these meditation retreats because we believe our inner landscape has a profound impact on our outer landscape. While scientific research has repeatedly shown this to be true, our wish is to put the insight into practice in our movement, such that all involved parties benefit through ever-increasing compassion-in-action.

Ends: evening of Sunday, Nov 26
Location: At your residence, using Zoom
Who: This retreat is geared for people who work or are highly involved in animal protection movement. Due to the fact that Tashi is on Central Time, the retreat is particularly geared towards participants in the Americas.
Language: The retreat will be in English
*Details:*
+This retreat will follow non-sectarian approaches, with practices that are accessible regardless of personal tradition/religion
+The schedule will include time in personal practice, and group space
+A practical focus rather than on theory or books
+There will be opportunities for back and forth with the teacher
+Virtual retreats have a higher requirement for self-discipline, recognizing that group dynamic and place-based focus is much more limited. For this reason, we have shortened the retreat from 5 days previously to ~3 days, and we will be asking all participants to sign an agreement affirming their intention to take on this experience with the sense of rigor and reverence that would be present in-person, while honoring physical constraints
This gathering is specifically for those in the animal advocacy movement. Please be mindful of your response, keeping that qualifier in mind.
Animal advocates and plant based advocates could look the world over and not find anyone more worthy of their own kindness and compassion than themselves. In our experience, as we grow ourselves in well-being, others become more receptive to the message of veganism and compassion for all. Even more, advocacy done with mindfulness can be regenerative and reduce the risk of burnout.
