Learn more about the use of dialogue as an effective method of communication, and practice those skills with others. The programs and activities will accentuate and strengthen your understanding of conflict management and their implications for involvement with others to develop personally and professional by 1) promoting an understanding of conflict management skills, 2) providing an opportunity for folks to learn and practice skills that will help them better engage with other members of the Community; and 3) developing critical thinking skills.
These are facilitated sessions where you can engage with peers from diverse backgrounds. People who participate in the Community Dialogues program will be able to:
1) Identify important aspects of their personal backgrounds,
2) Articulate the value of understanding different perspectives,
3) Describe and demonstrate principles of positive social engagement in communication, and
4) Understand about being responsible members of the Community.

The Community Dialogues will go from September 5th to November 20th. Please keep in mind, we do change the weekly day of the event in mid October.
The in-Person sessions will take place from 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM at the Academic Resource Center, Room 114 (Green Room), Agricultural Engineering Institute, 3131 Maile Way. The virtual events will be via Zoom will take place from 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM.
