ATTN: Medical & Engineering Volunteers --- Resource Personnel Form for Pressure Cuff Emergency Ventilator
Thank you for your interest in joining this world-wide effort to mitigate ventilator shortage during the COVID-2019 crisis.

We are looking for volunteers to share their skills and location with us to be able to deploy patient-safe ventilators for patients who will need emergency ventilation because of the shortage. We need people with medical backgrounds, specifically people who can oversee and undertake clinical studies. We also need engineering minds who can assemble a simple circuit, source electronic parts, test, and troubleshoot hardware/software for devices.

We are using a blood pressure cuff, medical air, and vacuum ports available in every patient room in most hospitals. Our plan is to get it approved by UTMB's IRB and get an Investigational Device Exemption (pre-FDA medical panel approval) to be able to replicate it cross-institutionally and hopefully launch a world-wide study.

Thank you,
