Meetings and events of Friends of Dorothy are open to any and all individuals who support our mission and vision. There is a distinction, however, between participation as a supporter and participation as a memberThe biggest distinction is only members have the right to vote in the organization. 
 
Before filling out this application, a person must have attended at least one (1) regular meeting of Friends of Dorothy. Membership is open to any individual who resides in Noble or contiguous counties and supports the mission of Friends of Dorothy and its values. 

Friends of Dorothy has adopted a special "Member Code" which lays out the basic qualifications, rights, responsibilities, and conduct expectations for members. You are required to agree to the provisions of this code (furnished below) in order for your application to be processed.

Enrollment Requirements, Rights, and Responsibilities 
  1. Membership shall be open to any individual who resides in Noble or contiguous counties and supports the mission of Friends of Dorothy and its values.

  2. To qualify for membership, a person must have attended at least one (1) regular meeting of FoD prior to submitting their application.

  3. Upon filling out an application, new members shall be admitted by simple majority vote of the membership on the question to “admit [applicant’s name] to Friends of Dorothy.”

  4. At time of admittance and on the anniversary for the same, members shall be encouraged – but not required – to make a voluntary donation to Friends of Dorothy for “dues.”

  5. Members shall have the right to participate in all activities of Friends of Dorothy and shall have full parliamentary rights at meetings of the membership.

  6. Members are obliged to abide by all policies, rules, and regulations approved by Friends of Dorothy and to abide by the Member Code of Conduct.

  7. A member may resign at any time by issuing notice of their resignation to contact@noblecountylgbt.org. Unless specified otherwise in the notice, resignation will be received as effective immediately.

  8. Members who violate their obligations to Friends of Dorothy may be subject to disciplinary proceedings which may result in adverse action up to and including expulsion.
