Bourses Ronan Guillou #2 : L’homme et le monde marin autour du territoire de Sète, étang de Thau et du Golfe du Lion. 

Photographes européen·nes et des rives sud de la Méditerranée, vous avez un projet associant l’homme et le monde marin, candidatez à la 1ère édition des Bourses Ronan Guillou, 4000€ pour réaliser un projet entre Sète, étang de Thau et le Golfe du Lion !

En 2024, avec le soutien de la ville de Sète, et en synergie avec le parcours Itinérances Foto (Sète), deux bourses de création photographique sont proposées aux photographes européen·nes professionnel·les et de la rive Sud de la Méditerranée.

À partir d’un même territoire - la région Occitanie - CIVIS MARITIMUS invite pour sa deuxième édition deux photographes européen·nes et/ou de la rive sud de la Méditerranée, à produire chacun·e un projet photographique engagé sur des questions de société, culturelles, écologiques et/ou patrimoine mettant en lien l’humain et le monde marin.

Les projets devront explorer les enjeux de notre avenir en synergie avec la mer et/ou défendre une vision progressiste – ou militante – pour éveiller radicalement les consciences sur ces sujets. Ils pourront aborder des questions touchant à l’écologie, à l’activité humaine, à la notion d’héritage ou bien encore à la relation du territoire avec d’autres zones du bassin méditerranéen.

Cet appel est ouvert aux photographes professionnel·les européen·nes et de la rive sud de la Méditerranée (sans limite d'âge) souhaitant développer un projet photographique engagé touchant aux questions de l’Homme et la mer Méditerranée autour du territoire de Sète, étang de Thau et du Golfe du Lion (région Occitanie). 

Les deux photographes boursier·es auront une période de deux mois et demi pour réaliser leur projet pour une livraison finale des éléments attendus au plus tard le 15 septembre 2024. Ils auront l’obligation d’être présents sur Sète le 7 mai 2024 pour assister et participer à l’ouverture du parcours “Itinérances Foto”. Une rencontre en public sera organisée pour présenter leur démarche. Ils ou elles bénéficieront d’un logement sur Sète pendant la période du 7 mai au 7 juillet 2024. La seconde édition des Bourses Ronan Guillou est soutenue par la ville de Sète, M28 et château Laurens, édifice construit à Agde à partir de 1898 par le collectionneur Emmanuel Laurens.

• Un note d'intention du projet (elle peut être accompagnée d'images si celui-ci est déjà en cours) - minimum 3.000 signes au format PDF 
• Un portfolio du travail du.de la photographe - 25Mo maximum format PDF 
• Merci de préciser tous partenaires éventuels (auteur·ices, scientifiques, organisations..)

The Ronan Guillou Grants #2: Man and the marine world around the territory of Sète, Thau pond (étang de Thau) and French Mediterranean region of the Gulf of Lion.

European photographers and from the southern shores of the Mediterranean, you have a project associating man and the marine world, apply for the 1st edition of the Ronan Guillou Grant, 4000€ to realize a project between Sète, étang de Thau and the Gulf of Lion !

In 2024, with the support of the city of Sete, and in partnership with the Itinérances Foto photo tour (Sète), two photographic creation grants will be offered to professional European photographers from the southern shores of the Mediterranean.

Based on the same territory - the Occitanie region - CIVIS MARITIMUS invites two photographers from Europe and the southern shores of the Mediterranean, each to produce a committed photographic project.

The projects should explore the issues of our future in synergy with the sea and/or defend a progressive - or militant - vision to radically raise awareness on these subjects. They may address issues related to ecology, human activity, the notion of heritage or the relationship of the territory with other areas of the Mediterranean basin.

This call is open to professional photographers from Europe and the southern shore of the Mediterranean (no age limit) wishing to develop a photographic project on the issues of man and the Mediterranean Sea around the territory of Sete and the Gulf of Lion (Occitania region).

The two award-winning photographers will have a period of two and a half months to complete their project, with final delivery of the elements due no later than September 15, 2024. They will be required to be present in Sète on May 7, 2024 to attend and participate in the opening of the "Itinérances Foto" festival. A public meeting will be organized to present their work. They will benefit from accommodation in Sète during the period from May 7 to July 7, 2024. The second edition of the Bourses Ronan Guillou is supported by the town of Sète, M28 and Château Laurens, built in Agde from 1898 by collector Emmanuel Laurens.

• A note of intent of the project (it can be accompanied by images if it is already in progress) - minimum 3,000 signs in PDF format
• A portfolio of the photographer's work - 25Mb maximum in PDF format. Please specify all possible partners (authors, scientists, organizations ...)
