Hear Your Song
Hear Your Song is non-profit organization that empowers children with serious illnesses and complex health needs to make their voices heard through collaborative songwriting. Composers and musicians work with each child individually to create their own song lyrics which are then set to music and recorded using the young lyricist's requests for genre, tempo, and instrumentation. Hear Your Song has partnered with hospitals, camps, and schools in New Haven, Yonkers, Boston, and throughout NYC. Over the past six years, Hear Your Song has recorded over 100 songs by kids ages 5-18. Visit www.hearyoursong.org, www.soundcloud.com/hearyoursong, or www.facebook.com/hearyoursongusa to learn more and listen to our songs!

In the midst of the current global COVID-19 crisis, the need to empower and give voice to our most vulnerable youths is more important than ever. We are partnering with hospitals and families to set up a virtual Hear Your Song experience. We will gather lyrics both through video sessions with kids and through Google Form submissions. We are looking for composers, musicians, and audio engineers with the ability to write and record quickly from home. Any genre of musician is welcome — we've recorded rock, pop, hip-hop, jazz, country, bachata — you name it!
