Long Lands Common
This year the Club has an opportunity to support a project being led by Nidd Gorge Community Action (NGCA) to transform an available piece of greenbelt farmland into a new 30 acre public woodland to be known as ‘Long Lands Common’ The woodland will border the Nidderdale Greenway, close to the starting point at The Avenue, Starbeck and the Bilton Triangle.
The Committee’s view is that the Club should support this project as it is expected that many of our members and their families will benefit directly and it further adds to the prevention of a possible future Harrogate Relief Road in the Nidd Gorge.
With current COVID19 restrictions it is not possible to hold a meeting in person. An online zoom meeting has already been held to discuss the issue and the committe now wishes to hold an on-line vote.
Voting is only open to fully paid up members of the Club and 20% of the current membership must participate for the vote to be valid.
Please cast one vote.
