Belle Isle Nature Center Volunteen - Counselor-In-Training
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Belle Isle Nature Center! The Belle Isle Nature Center is a part of the Detroit Zoological Society, and follows the same policies and procedures as the Detroit Zoo.

The teen volunteers in the Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program are responsible for assisting with groups of up to 12 youth on hikes, activities, and crafts throughout the summer. All CITs must commit to attend one training session (Saturday, June 10 or Tuesday, June 20) and volunteer for two full weeks of camp during the summer (8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.). Please carefully review the following information about our CIT volunteer program before applying.

Requirements:
Must be a mature and energetic teen, age 16 or 17
Experience working with youth preferred
Must be willing to work outside
Must have access to reliable transportation to and from the Belle Isle Nature Center
Must provide two references from adults not related to you such as a teacher, community leader, counselor, etc.
Application must be submitted by May 15, 2017
