BSES 5th grade Chorus Enrollment form
If your child has an interest in or a talent for singing, please consider signing him or her up for chorus. This ensemble experience is a wonderful opportunity for children to explore their voices and develop a lifetime love of music.
Fifth Grade Chorus meets every Wednesday that school is in session, from 10:45-11:30. Students may be pulled out for an additional rehearsal before the winter and spring concerts. Chorus members are expected to come prepared to rehearsal, and to memorize all music. Students are required to attend the winter concert, which is scheduled for Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 7 pm at Bellows Spring. The snow date is Thursday, January 18. The spring concert has been scheduled for Thursday, May 17, 2018. Parents will be notified in advance of any additional performance opportunities that may arise.
It is important to note that while chorus is a lot of fun, it is also hard work. Students are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances, and to demonstrate appropriate behavior at all times. Please discuss this commitment with your child before enrolling him or her in the program. Once your child is enrolled in chorus, he or she will be expected to remain in the program at least through the winter concert. Please understand that students will not be permitted to withdraw mid-semester.

My child has permission to join 5th grade chorus at Bellows Spring. I understand the commitment he or she is making to the ensemble, and agree that my child will remain in the group at least through the winter concert. I have been made aware the winter concert is scheduled for Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 7:00 pm. My child will attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances, and will memorize the required music.
Music Cheetah Logo T-Shirt
We will be wearing the same t-shirts as last year for our concerts. Please consider whether you need to purchase a shirt this year. Shirts are expected to cost around $8-$9, depending on the size of our order. If your child has a Music Cheetah logo shirt from last year that still fits, you do not need to purchase a new shirt this year.
