2023 Silid Aralan sa Embahada

Silid Aralan sa Embahada is an annual project of the Embassy in partnership with the United Federation of Fil-Am Educators (UNIFFIED) Maryland Chapter.

It is a week-long program spearheaded by the volunteer teachers of UNIFFIED to educate Filipino-American students between ages of 4-18 years old about Philippine history and culture. This also forms part of the Embassy’s program for the celebration of Buwan ng Wika. In celebration of the Year of the ASEAN Youth, the theme of the 2023 Silid Aralan sa Embahada is “'Katutubong Pamana: Gabay sa Pagpapatupad ng Matatag at Inklusibong Lipunan'”.

This year’s Silid Aralan will still retain a hybrid format with online sessions for 14-18 August from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, to be followed by a virtual and in-person culminating activity at the Philippine Embassy’s Chancery Annex on 19 August (Saturday) at 3:00PM. In-person attendance is on a limited RSVP basis.
