Timberline Middle School - 7th Grade Accelerated Math Placement Test Registration for 2020-2021 School Year
This registration form is only for students who will be 7th graders at Timberline Middle School during the 2020-21 school year and desire to take the 7th grade Accelerated Math class.

The Accelerated Math Pathway puts students on track for AP Calculus during their junior year of high school. Students who do not qualify for the Accelerated Math Pathway can still takes Secondary 1 Honors in 9th grade and take AP Calculus their senior year.
FAQ About the Placement Test
There are two parts to the test. The first part is a math aptitude test. It is a timed test that measures how well students will learn new material. It includes topics that are not part of a standard 6th grade mathematics curriculum, but are understandable to a student with a good grasp of 6th grade math. Due to the nature of the test, specific details about topics the test will not be shared.

The second part covers the content that is part of a sixth grade student's math curriculum, this part is untimed and includes both multiple choice and free response questions. Students need to be able to perform basic operations with fractions, solve simple equations and other similar 6th grade topics.
