Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Come Alive Camp 2019!  Come Alive hosts creative art experiences for students from under resourced backgrounds. Our main event is our four week long summer creative arts day camp. Registration is kept low through the vast team of volunteers who dedicate their time and talent to serve students ages 6-15 years. We have a blast and we work hard! Lunch and snack are provided for volunteers each day they come to serve. Everything that we do is #ForTheKids, so encourage those who are ready to focus on the students to sign up. Volunteers are expected to exemplify respectful behavior in all that is done and said. Come Alive is put on by Come Alive LB in partnership with Light and Life Community Center.

Dates: July 9th-August 1st, 2019 (Tues, Weds, Thurs Only)

Location: 5951 Downey Ave., Long Beach, CA 90805

Requirements:
-At least 16 years
-Complete a background check (Processing fee covered by the LLCF Community Center).
-Attend mandatory volunteer orientation and training on Thursday, June 20th from 5:30pm-7:30pm at 5951 Downey Ave., Long Beach, CA 90805.

Role:
Volunteers act as "mentors" and facilitators of camp. Mentors spend time with the students in their art classes, during meals and recreation. Mentors also help to set up and clean up camp. As a mentor, you are the heart of what makes camp so wonderful for the students. At Come Alive, our motto is everything is done #ForTheKids. They are first.  They are the priority. You will enjoy volunteering with Come Alive if you enjoy interacting with students ages 6-15 years, are flexible to help where needed, take direction well, and you are not afraid to get messy and enjoy creative expression!
