The Outreach Coordinator is a newly created role that supports the External Portfolio of Bridge to Campus by expanding our reach to high schools and recruiting guest speakers for webinars.
Time Commitment
- September–mid October: Approximately 4-5 hours/week (our busiest recruitment period).
- Throughout the academic year: 0- 2 hours/week (only during weeks leading up to webinars if additional speaker outreach is needed).
- Most work is flexible and asynchronous, allowing you to complete tasks around your own schedule. However, we ask that assigned outreach goals and deadlines (e.g., number of schools contacted or speakers recruited) are met in a timely manner.
- In general, the time commitment & workload will be "heavier" before the mentorship period and much lighter once the mentorship period starts. Outreach Coordinator and Mentor timelines do not overlap.
- You will be guaranteed a Mentor position if you are accepted as an Outreach Coordinator!

Assessment Criteria
You may be assessed based on your previous involvement with BTC, including your demonstrated reliability, initiative, and engagement.
If you have not previously been involved with BTC, you will be automatically directed to answer a few additional questions, and an interview may be conducted after we review your application form:)
