You must be the film's creator or have the owner's consent in order to submit a film.
You must be 18 to 24 years old to submit.
You must be a senior high school or college-level filmmaker or a recent graduate, provided it has not been more than 18 months since your graduation by the awards night in December 2025.
You must be a Philippine national.
Films can be in any language or dialect but must include English subtitles.
There are no submission fees.
For every film, applicants must fill out a separate registration form and complete
all the entry form's mandatory fields.
Not every submission is chosen to participate in the official competition. No
responses will be provided regarding films that are not chosen, and our judges
are allowed to make their own decisions.
The organizers of KYNFF may dismiss any film it deems to have unsuitable content.
Our pre-selection committee and judges make the final decision regarding the selection.
By submitting your film, you give the festival permission to use, share, and distribute the trailer, synopsis, poster, and still images on our social media platforms.
There are no limitations on your work concerning its premiere status or if it has been posted online. Films like these are still eligible to compete at our festival.
A maximum of three submissions are allowed per filmmaker.
Films must have been completed after January 1, 2024.
The total duration of the film cannot exceed 10 minutes (including OBBs, CBBs, and
credits).
Filmmakers are responsible for sorting out the copyright on their own materials. The KYNFF organizers will not be held responsible for any copyright violations committed by the submitter. Copyrighted music or materials without proper licenses cannot be used.
Any technical issues with the submitted films are 100% the responsibility of the
filmmakers. If, at the time of judging, your video file doesn’t work or doesn’t
have English subtitles (if in a language other than English), it will be automatically rejected.
We retain the right to change the date and venue of the festival under special
circumstances. All affected filmmakers will be informed about any changes through email and our online platforms.
By submitting to us, you give us consent and right to screen your film in front of a live audience, and, under special circumstances, online screening.
By submitting a film to the Festival, the participant accepts the regulations of the competition and all its rules, and the participant shall be entirely responsible for any damages, whether due to his or her own rights or by third parties, caused by the use of his or her registration or by false information provided.
When registering a film in the Festival, the participant assures the ownership of
all the rights inherent to the registration and the access to those same rights
during the period of the Festival.
All copyrights and music rights of the applied works must be duly regulated. The
festival shall not bear any costs associated with royalties or the costs of screening. The regulated copyrights and music rights are confirmed with the applicant’s acceptance of the Terms and conditions on the application form.
By submitting to us, you agree to our terms and conditions.
