Olympia DSA Solidarity Fund - Request Form
The Olympia DSA Solidarity Fund has been created to assist Olympia DSA members who have been financially affected by the economic instability related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Olympia DSA Solidarity Fund is intended to assist with members' urgent material needs (housing, transportation, food, bills, healthcare, etc).
How it works:
- Olympia DSA members can apply for funds via this Solidarity Fund request form.
- Funds will be distributed on first-come, first-serve basis with following exception: If a person states they are currently sick, unhoused, disabled, unemployed due to COVID-19, quarantined without pay, elderly or undocumented, their request will be prioritized.
- The Executive Committee will review applications, and we will do our best to respond to your request as quickly as possible.
-The amount distributed to each applicant will not exceed 15% of the total balance in the fund, or $200 (whichever is greater).
- Funds will not be distributed to the same person more than once in a 30-day period.
If you have questions, please reach out to the Executive Committee at
, and include Solidarity Fund in the subject.
**This fund was created by a vote of the Olympia DSA general membership on 3/20/2020. Thanks to approval by a vote of the general membership on December 19, 2020, the fund will be continue until April 17, 2021.**
The Olympia DSA COVID-19 Solidarity Fund is modeled off of funds set-up by Seattle DSA and Twin Cities DSA. Thank you to Seattle DSA and Twin Cities DSA for providing the inspiration. Solidarity!
