County Science Educator of the Year Awards (14)1. Hold a current membership in the Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers (MAST) and has been an active member one year prior.2. Have a past history of being an active, contributing member of national, state, and/or local science teacher organizations.3. Have provided a leadership role in promoting and advancing the cause of quality science education among his/her peers.4. Joann Blum Inspiration in Environmental Education AwardThis award honors the memory of Joann Blum, an outstanding and inspirational science teacher who encouraged her students and her colleagues to embrace the outdoor environment. 1. The recipient should be a K-8 teacher who inspires his/her children to see science in the natural world around them. 2. Membership in MAST is not a requirement for the award. 3. The recipient will receive recognition at the annual MAST Awards banquet and one year's complimentary membership in MAST (new or renewal).
