[Project Open Arms] Make a Donation Form 
Thank you for your interest in donating to recently arrived families in NYC as part of Project Open Arms! (For more information on Project Open Arms, click here.)  

All donations will be managed by the NYC DOE's Students in Temporary Housing (STH) team. Someone will reach out to you within a week to confirm receipt of completing this form and next steps. 

While we will do our best to accommodate any donations, the following are top needs identified by recently arrived families:  

**We can only except new and not-expired items. 
** We are looking for children to adult sizes

  • Underclothes
  • Pajamas 
  • T-Shirts/Blouses (long sleeve and short sleeve) 
  • Sweaters 
  • Pants (jeans, sweatpants, leggings, slacks)
  • Closed toe shoes (sneakers, boots)
  • Gloves, scarves and hats 
  • Diapers
  • Baby Formula 
  • Laundry Detergent 
  • Hygiene supplies (deodorant, shampoo, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes) 
  • Book bags/school supplies
  • Duffel bags or tote bags (to distribute clothing to the families
  • Coats and Jackets

***If you are interested in donating money or gift cards, please do so through The Fund for Public Schools. Please include "STH" and/or "recently arrived families" under gift designation so the donation will come to the STH team.
