PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT CONTRACT
PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT CONTRACT
MIRA COSTA HIGH SCHOOL LACROSSE PARENT CONTRACT
As the parent of a MCHS lacrosse player, I promise to:
Reach out to the coaching staff to promote and support two-way communication. We want to encourage communication as much as possible and an "open door" type of culture that provides parents access to speak with coaching staff and encourage a transparent and supportive environment for all.
●Support my player, their teammates, and their coach’s efforts at all times.
●Respect the opponent’s players, coaches, fans, and game officials at all times.
●Cheer encouragement to my player and his teammates, but NOT instructions.
●Understand it is the PLAYER’S responsibility to be at practice and games at a set time. Please aid them in that effort to make sure they are to practices and games on time and ensure they are ready to play.
●Help your player manage their studies and their commitment to lacrosse, by making your best effort and scheduling other commitments at times that do not conflict with practices and games. Schedule doctors appointments, study sessions, group projects, tutors, etc, at times that do not conflict with practices or games.
●Inform coaches in ADVANCE of any practices you know your child will need to miss or arrive late by phone or by email (+72 hours). Repeated missed practices and/or missing a game will result in your player possibly be referred to the Athletic Director and School Administrator for further disciplinary action that may include but not limited to, suspension or dismissal from the program
.Coaches should be made aware of possible game conflicts as soon as the conflict is known. See player contract for full details. Note, excused academic absences clear a players absence from the class but does not excuse them from the attendance policies in place within the team. Missing practices/games will affect their Lacrosse PE grade.
●Respect the privilege of the use of team, private, and public facilities.
●Provide a positive atmosphere in the stands. Please avoid confrontation with game officials, coaches, or opposing team parents. Avoid verbal abuse of players, coaches, game officials, and spectators at practices, before, during and after games.
-Work with the coaching staff to make sure they have the information and support to provide the most positive experience for the student athlete.
I AGREE TO ALL OF THE ABOVE PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT
