Maui Wedding & Event Association Membership Application 2024-2025
Aloha and thank you for your interest in joining the Maui Wedding & Event Association.  Please complete the following application to get started.  Businesses are to designate one representative per membership, if you have additional staff who would like membership they will need to complete a separate application.  Memberships are for one calendar year from the date you pay your dues.

Membership Types 

Regular Membership- $150 annually 

-Businesses & organizations based on Maui doing business directly in the wedding and/or event industry with 50% or more annual revenue derived from weddings and/or events.

-Individuals (sole proprietors) based on Maui and working directly in the wedding and/or event industry with 50% or more annual revenue derived from weddings and/or events.

Allied Membership- $250 annually

 -Individuals, businesses, or organizations based outside of Maui who do business in the wedding and/or event industry on Maui   

-Individuals, businesses, or organizations with less than 50% annual revenue from weddings/events on Maui

-Voting rights withheld and cannot serve as an officer

Membership Agreements

The Maui Wedding and Event Association’s purpose is to bring together and unify the many individuals, businesses and organizations in the wedding and event industry on Maui.  The aim is to work together with the shared goal of promoting, uplifting and enhancing the wedding and event industry on Maui.  Therefore, members must conduct themselves in a manner that will maintain and strengthen trust and confidence in the association.  Members agree to the following:

  1. Members must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
  2. Members must treat each other and colleagues with courtesy, respect, and understanding at all times.
  3. Members must not impose their business practices upon any other member, colleague, or business owner.
  4. Members may not make false or misleading statements about colleagues business or business practices publicly.
  5. Members must report inappropriate behavior and comments that are discriminatory, harassing, abusive, or offensive.
  6. Members must operate legally in the State of Hawaii by maintaining valid licenses, certifications, commissions and permits at all times

  3. Approved applications go to the Board of Directors for final approval.
  4. You'll be notified via email if approved and receive a payment link for yearly dues.
  5. Complete payment of dues to become a member and receive a welcome email.
