2019 Swim & Dive Invite & Qualifier Application
Schools wanting to host an invitational or state qualifier must complete this form as the first step towards approval.
Schools may participate in up to 4 invites/qualifiers per season.

Invitationals are meets that have been approved but are NOT considered as qualifiers- times from invites will NOT be considered as potential state Q times. (Great for small schools, fun meets, etc.) Invitationals do not require a fully-automatic timing system. While it is recommended that invitationals use the NFHS recommended minimum number of officials, there is no requirement beyond a meet referee, a starter & one stroke and turn judge.

Qualifiers are meets in which times MAY be included in the MaxPreps performance lists & swum times achieving the minimum time standards will be considered in state entries submitted by a team's head coach.
Qualifiers MUST use a fully automatic timing system (touch pads & appropriate backup timing system).
Qualifiers MUST have the minimum number of officials.
Only times from official NFHS recognized events will be considered & uploaded into the MaxPreps system. No times or splits from other events will be considered.

Factors for consideration of approval include, but are not limited to:
- Adequate and knowledgeable staffing
- Adequate facility & equipment
- Number of approved meets already on dates selected

As the named applicant I understand that the host school is responsible for ensuring that all minimum standards are met for this event. I understand that if my event is approved as a qualifier, I must ensure that results are properly uploaded into the MaxPreps website within 72 hours of the completion of the meet, as well as submitting a backup file of the final meet & PDF of the results to Erin Shields Coy, escoy@mpsaz.org. *
