The BETC Social Action Committee recognizes individual adult and youth (under age 18) BETC members who are helping to create the world we want and repairing the world by addressing critical socioeconomic issues. These awards were created to honor Jonathan Jacoby, a dedicated long-time Temple Member currently residing in California. Jonathan has inspired many of us to do more, and to do better at the work of caring, staying involved, and making a difference in the lives of others.
We choose honorees who have made an impact in a wide range of important areas, among them: economic justice, civil rights, climate justice, reducing gun violence, healthcare, hunger, homelessness, education, poverty, and immigration. The award(s) will be presented during the Social Action Shabbat on October 24, 2025.
Thank you, Nominators, for proposing Nominee(s) for our consideration. An automated acknowledgement will come from "Google Forms." If you have any questions,
