Equity Forward Workshop: History of DC and Health Inequities
This workshop will explore the history of the District of Columbia, focusing on the resilience of oppressed communities and how historical events have shaped the city's current health inequities. Participants will examine the health status of DC, explore its healthcare system, and discuss the role of structural determinants in perpetuating both physical and mental health inequities. Through this session, attendees will gain a deeper comprehension of the intersection between history, health, and social justice in DC, which will help them better understand and care for the communities and populations of the District.
