Volunteer Ushers get a glimpse behind the scenes and work closely with the Front of House operations. Under the supervision of the House Manager and working with the Front of House Staff, volunteers are assigned duties that include distributing programs, providing information about the show, scanning patrons tickets at the door, helping to get patrons seated, light clean up after the performance, and completing other tasks as needed during and after the show.
Volunteers must wear white tops and black slacks or skirts; no jeans, t-shirts or sneakers. The CALL TIME is the actual time you should arrive at the theater.
Volunteer Ushers will be able to see the performance free of charge but will have to join the Standing Room section if the show is sold-out. Volunteer Ushering is only available for shows at the Loeb Drama Center, the A.R.T.'s main performance space at 64 Brattle Street.

We look forward to seeing you at the American Repertory Theater.
