This initiative offers a safe space designed to empower youth by developing essential protective factors, with a primary emphasis on social skills development and the prevention of peer pressure and substance use. The group strives to strengthen coping strategies, emotional processing, stress management, and dealing with interpersonal conflicts, among other vital topics.
By fostering a nurturing environment, participants can connect with experienced adult mentors and engage with peers, sharing experiences and insights in a safe space. The discussions are adaptable, ensuring they meet the specific needs of each specific group. With a max capacity of 15 participants per session, the program aims to enhance youths' ability to communicate effectively with peers and adults, fostering reconnection and promoting healthy interaction and support-seeking behaviors. Facilitated by a skilled Health Liaison, the group is dedicated to supporting mental health and encouraging youth to seek and offer support within their community.
