Based on feedback we've received, we're re-evaluating the model we use for paying for On Your Day Off updates. We love working on this project, we're excited to keep rolling out new content for it, and we can't thank you enough for any and all support you're willing to give to help make this game possible. All payments go directly to the development for OYDO, and if you're willing to help us out with financial contributions, we want to to do it in a way that makes sense and is sustainable for you from a "buy-in" perspective.

Are you satisfied with the current model we use?

The current model is:

If we were to change to a new payment model, which of the following options would be your top/favorite choice?

(Note: These ideas are not finalized and may be altered as we figure out next steps—we first want to get a sense of how you react to them to give us a more general direction that we should head towards)

Keep the current model as-is, but release the paid version with all updates on Patreon 1 month in advance of the public release, instead of 1 week.

Keep the current model as-is, but reduce the paid version on itch to $4 per release, and make it free when the newest release is published; keep the Patreon membership the same ($6/month for all benefits, including free access to the latest release)

Release the free/public version with limited updates only on itch and release only the paid version with all updates on Patreon 1 week in advance of the free/public version (i.e., do not release the paid version on itch)

Pay an upfront fee of $15 for the paid version with all updates, and then pay a discounted rate of $1-$3 per future release to download/install the latest updates when they're released as DLC content—keep the Patreon model the same (release the paid version 1 month early) and release the free version with limited updates 1 month after the paid version is released.

Pay an upfront fee of $35-$40 for access to all paid releases and the finished game for free when it's complete, and create a higher tier for Patreon ($15-$25/month) to get access to the finished game upon completion. Release the free version 1 week/1 month after the paid version is released.
