Bridging the Gap Mentor
Bridging the Gap (BTG) is a one-to-one mentoring program of Family Cornerstones that seeks to provide caring support for students in the form of consistent and supportive attention by qualified and caring mentors.

Each student (mentee) is paired with an adult (mentor) based on shared interests and personalities. Mentees and mentors agree to make a year-long (12 month) commitment to the program. A mentee and his/her mentor meet together at an approved location (Library, Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, after-school programs, etc.) for at least one hour a week. During weekly meetings mentees and mentors decide what types of activities to do together (crafts, reading, board games, sports, etc.) Mentors can also occasionally help mentees with homework or school projects.

Once a quarter (September, December, March, June) all mentor and mentee matches meet together for a special event (Christmas Party, roller-skating, picnic, etc.).
