Brownsville: Between the Bridges and Beyond-- Initial Public Survey
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. This is an early step in the public engagement process of the Brownsville: Between the Bridges and Beyond project. It has 17 questions, and should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. All questions are optional. The survey will be open through July 10.

What is this Project?
This is a planning-level project for the Village of Brownsville in West Windsor, VT. It will go through several phases, starting with background research and public outreach. When completed, this project will provide the community with implementation steps towards building a better village center and and improving the connection between the Village and Mount Ascutney.

Project Goals Include:
• Create an inviting, user-friendly village center.
• Support a vibrant local economy.
• Connect village and mountain destinations through improved streetscapes and paths.
• Analyze current and future parking needs.

All of this will be done with the feedback and involvement of the West Windsor community through opportunities during the project to voice your opinions, raise concerns, and suggest solutions.

Why this project now?
The Town of West Windsor has completed multiple studies, plans, and initiatives over the past 10 years, yet there are still gaps towards achieving a vision of a safe, vibrant, and connected village. The Town was awarded a Better Connections Grant in 2023 to enable the next phase of visioning.

Who is funding this project?
This project is funded by a Better Connections Grant from the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD), the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans), the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), and the Department of Public Health (VDH).

That’s okay! So, depending on where you live, or how you travel in and around our project area, please just use your own notion or definition of “Brownsville” to guide your answers.
